Safety Planning

If you are in an unsafe situation, making a safety plan is very important. If you have children you should include them in the safety planning process.  You can make a safety plan yourself or you can call (907)835-2999 or 1(800)-835-4044 and an advocate can help you develop a safety plan.
Here are a few things to consider when making a safety plan.
If you do make a safety plan make sure you keep it in a place where your partner can't find it.

Safety plans can be made for a variety of different situations -

  1. Dealing with an emergency such as when a physical assault occurs
  2. Continuing to live with a partner who has been abusive
  3. Continuing to date a partner who has been abusive
  4. Protecting yourself after you have ended a relationship with an abusive partner
